Steering Valve for Forklift
Steering Valve for Forklifts - A valve is a device which regulates the flow of a fluid such as fluidized gases or regular gases, liquids, slurries, by partially obstructing, opening or closing particular passageways. Valves are usually pipe fittings but are commonly discussed as a separate category. In instances where an open valve is concerned, fluid flows in a direction from higher to lower pressure.
Many applications like military, industrial, residential, transport and commercial businesses make use of valves. Some of the major businesses that depend on valves consist of the sewerage, oil and gas sectors, mining, chemical manufacturing, power generation and water reticulation.
In every day activities, the most common valves are plumbing valves as seen for the reason that it taps for tap water. Various popular examples include small valves fitted to dishwashers and washing machines, gas control valves on cookers, valves in car engines and safety devices fitted to hot water systems. In nature, veins in the human body act as valves and control the blood circulation. Heart valves also regulate the circulation of blood in the chambers of the heart and maintain the proper pumping action.
Valves can be operated in various ways. For example, they could be operated either by a handle, a pedal or a lever. Valves can be driven by changes in temperature, pressure or flow or they could be automatic. These changes can act upon a piston or a diaphragm which in turn activates the valve. Various popular examples of this particular type of valve are found on safety valves or boilers fitted to hot water systems.
There are more complex control systems using valves that require automatic control which is based on external input. Like for example, regulating flow through a pipe to a changing set point. These situations normally need an actuator. An actuator will stroke the valve depending on its input and set-up, allowing the valve to be places accurately while allowing control over different requirements.
